I was approached by Milk Agency to design a seating installation for the new Intersect by Lexus NYC. It was important that the seating encourage movement and interaction throughout the space and provide an opportunity for guests to explore, sit, imagine, and creatively re-formulate the seating into new configurations so they can experience the space in a unique way. Each Coil can be circled up, straightened out, or curved around to accommodate the seating needs of a person or group of people. The variety of positions that can be created offer a compelling collection of seats throughout the space and become an ever-evolving installation, changed with each interaction.

Each bench is comprised of 30 lacquered frames, accented with inlaid brass on the sides and inlaid Lexus leather on top.
